“We fished 2-3 hours per day, as we were also doing some bird hunting in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Unlike many of the rivers in MT, we didn't see another fisherman or another fisherman’s boot track in the mud, the entire time. In addition, the river bottom was beautiful, as the rancher has fenced off his river frontage on both sides from cattle and allowed the native plants, trees and wildlife to proliferate. We saw birds of prey, sandhill cranes, ducks, geese, pheasant, turkey, beaver, muskrat and many deer. There were many deep holes dispersed throughout the entire stretch of river, each of which seemed to harbor one or more big browns, in addition to numerous smaller fish.”
